Finding a passion for research. A new place to play.
Reframing the play for 2026.
The Play Method Workshop at Arts University Plymouth, May 2026.
My relationship with my research has been strained for a good few years now. Having spent the last six years in play and design-thinking, I have reached a state of playful burnout. Oh, the irony…
Desperate to lean into something else, anything else, I have struggled tremendously to discover and thus define what my research is to me right now. The Play Method workshops will stay, of course, and they will always be a joy for me. But I need a fresh start, new beginnings. Something unfamiliar, new and challenging. And, I’ve got just the thing.
I’ll be leaning into my heritage, which I discovered a few years ago, and connecting it to my love for letterforms and the written word. I can’t wait to share it with you.
